Nashville Hosts Salina in Week 3 Matchup

NEW MOTHER’S DAY OPPONENT: The Nashville Kats and the Salina Liberty have agreed to an amendment in the Arena Football League schedule for the upcoming Mother’s Day game at Municipal Auditorium. Originally, the Kats were set to host the Philadelphia Soul, while the Salina Liberty were scheduled to play the Oregon Blackbears.

NEW KATS: Nashville has activated five new players for Week 3 — quarterback Dalton Oliver, wide receivers Dontez Byrd and Josh Reese, defensive lineman Justin Thomas, and defensive back Ta’Corian Darden.

CLOSING IN ON 500: Ramone Atkins is just 61 yards away from reaching 500 passing yards this season. So far, Atkins has completed 29-of-47 passes, resulting in nine touchdowns. Additionally, Atkins leads the team in rushing yards with 27.

IRVIN CONTINUES TO IMPRESS: Marquise Irvin has been a standout performer, leading the squad with five touchdowns on 10 catches, accumulating 168 yards. Notably, Irvin is averaging 84 reception yards per contest.

JONES LEADS THE D-CREW: Derrick Jones is at the forefront of the defense, leading the team with nine solo tackles and also contributing to the team with a fumble recovery.

TRICK SHOT FOR 6: Trailing with under a minute left in the first half at Albany, the Kats managed to enter the locker room with a lead, thanks in part to a lucky bounce off the net and a fumble recovery by Jones.
