KATS HOST SALINA LIBERTY ON MOTHER’S DAY

NASHVILLE – The Nashville Kats and the Salina Liberty have agreed to an Arena Football League schedule amendment for this coming Mother’s Day game at Municipal Auditorium.

The Kats were originally scheduled to play host to the Philadelphia Soul, while the Salina Liberty were set to travel to play the Oregon Blackbears.

The game between the Kats and Liberty will kick off at 2:30 p.m.

The Nashville Kats (1-1) opened the season with a 47-12 win over the Minnesota Myth on Saturday, April 27 at Municipal Auditorium. The Kats followed that with a 51-41 loss at the Albany Firebirds last Thursday night.

The Salina Liberty (1-0) opened the season on Monday, April 30 with a 43-40 win over the Southwest Kansas Story. The Liberty had a game versus the Wichita Regulators postponed last week because of severe weather.

“Regardless of who we play, we need to take care of our own business when preparing our opponents,” Head Coach Dean Cokinos said. “The Liberty are well-coached and will provide a formidable challenge on Sunday.”
