Eli Gold, Pete Weber & Lyndsay Rowley To Host Kats Inaugural Game

LEGENDARY ANNOUNCERS ELI GOLD & PETE WEBER MAKE HISTORY ON THE INAUGURAL NASHVILLE KATS RADIO BROADCAST

PREDATORS TV HOST LYNDSAY ROWLEY NAMED “OFFICIAL HOST OF THE NASHVILLE KATS”

NASHVILLE – Legendary announcers and multiple hall-of-famers Eli Gold and Pete Weber will make history Saturday night broadcasting together for the first time the season opener of the Nashville Kats on 102.5 FM The Game.

After 36 seasons of being the Voice of Alabama Crimson Tide football, Gold is now the Voice of the Nashville Kats. Weber has been the Voice of the Nashville Predators since the team’s first season in 1998.

The Nashville Kats have also named Predators television host Lyndsay Rowley as the “Official Host of the Nashville Kats.” She will be among the lead for the in-game presentations and activations by the Kats.

Gold will serve as play-by-play and Weber as guest analyst as the Nashville Kats open the Arena Football League season Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at historic Municipal Auditorium versus the Minnesota Myth.

“Pete and I have been dear friends for many years,” Gold said. “Pete has the ability to describe things in such a way that listeners are brought to center ice or football midfield. He paints the pictures that are so vital for radio. He is a true pro.”

Weber echoed Gold’s sentiments.

“It could be very intimidating to work with someone like Eli who has excelled in so many arenas, including college football, NASCAR, the NFL, Arena Football,” Weber said. “But we are such good friends like all those years working Predators radio games with Crispy (Terry Crisp). This is going to be a lot of fun.”

Rowley is an Emmy Award-winning sports reporter and television host for the Predators on Bally Sports South, a role she has served since 2015. She started her broadcasting career in 2012 after being a collegiate volleyball player and coach.

“We had (Kats partner) Jeff Fisher on the Predators’ broadcast a few weeks ago,” Rowley said, “and I took my shot and asked, ‘How can I be a part of the Kats?’ Well, here we are. The evolving partnerships between the Predators and the Kats are so cool. I’m very happy and honored to be a part of it all.”

The Kats secured a flagship radio broadcast agreement with Cromwell Media in Nashville for all games this season to be carried on either 102.5 The Game or 93.3 Classic Hits.

The Kats play 10 regular-season games this season with five home games at historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville. The season opener versus the Minnesota Myth is slated for Saturday, April 27. The Kats also play the Georgia Force on Saturday, May 18 at the new F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville.

Cromwell Media is also broadcast partners with the Nashville Predators, Nashville Sounds, Vanderbilt athletics and MTSU athletics and is Middle Tennessee’s ESPN Radio affiliate.
